The history

About

The Saint-Lazare Maladrerie is a remarkable site dating back to the 12th and 13th centuries and is typical of the hospital architecture of the Middle Ages. The Logis of the religious, the Romanesque chapel and the barn with its original oak frame form the unique ensemble which constitutes one of the best preserved leprosaria in Europe. The Maladrerie is protected by the Monuments Historiques.
